new year's resolution check-in

hmmm, i just revisited my list of new year's resolutions for 2012 and got sad.  wow, not accomplishing much and february is quickly coming to an end. i know, i know, its only two months.  but if i cannot stick to it in the first two months whats to say i will start sticking to in the following months to come.  lets look again at what i resolved to accomplish in 2012...

2012 resolutions:
blog! - keep it up.  i haven't posted since like.. what? march 2011.
i have been doing a little bit better with this one, but recently, not so much.  blogging is something i really enjoy doing, so you would think it would be relatively easy to keep up with, right?  well yah, but i also LOVE reading and havent had time to pick up a book in the last 6 months.  i think i have about 10 books i am in the middle of reading.  sheesh.

live a healthier lifestyle - free of sugar binges and processed junk
wow, cant say many good things about this one.  i have been eating sugar like its my job. next.

exercise - (realistically it should be MAKE TIME to exercise)
again, this is slightly depressing.  i cant even remember the last time i exercised.  must address this immediately.

finish my "home to-do list"
this i can report good things about!  yaayyy.  we FINALLY had the wallpaper installed in our living room. i bought the wallpaper last march? i think.  i have been wanting to put it up since we moved in almost 2 years ago and JUST got around to it a few weeks ago, wow. AND we did away with all of the horrible vertical blinds in our house and have some lovely new window treatments (i wish i had a photo, ill take one and update the post later).  our next step is to tackle the extra bedroom.  make it a home office? make it a guest room?  a play room?  well, we are starting with paint!

my final resolution, which i hadnt previously discussed: no fast food. EVER.
i told myself that i will not consider fast food an meal option, under NO circumstances.  2012 would be fast food free, and that even includes the yummy 99¢ soft serve vanilla cones i love so much from mcdonalds.  our family rarely eats fast food as it is, but i want to eliminate it completely... AND WE HAVE and will continue to!

for those of you who made resolutions and are sticking with it, keep up the good work!

 - the mrs.
